New Set Up Information
DNS Change Instructions
Insert the following records for your domain. This will make the Postini Server Records the preferred MTAs for the domain. (Replace "domain.com" with the name of the domain you are adding to Postini.)
domain.com. IN MX 100 domain.com.s7a1.psmtp.com.
domain.com. IN MX 200 domain.com.s7a2.psmtp.com.
domain.com. IN MX 300 domain.com.s7b1.psmtp.com.
domain.com. IN MX 400 domain.com.s7b2.psmtp.com.
The MX 100 and 200 records are for the Postini primary data center and the MX 300 and 400 records are for the Postini secondary data center. This will reduce the delay in good email being delivered when the Postini primary data center is disabled and the Postini secondary data center is enabled for any reason.
Important: Don’t change MX records for any domain other than the one listed in your activation email. You can add other domains to the service and change their records later.
