Blocking Email Addresses and Domains
You can configure the Email Security Service to block an email address or domain. Any mail from the listed email address or domain will be quarantined. It is not necessary to add a complete blacklist of spammers; use this feature to stop mail from a specific sender or domain.
You can block a sender for a single user, or a whole organization. If you block a sender for a whole organization, an individual user can allow that sender by adding that sender to the user's Allowed Senders List.
To block a sender for a single user:
- Go to Orgs and Users > Users.
- Click the user name in the users list, or search for the user.
- In the User Management page, click the Sender Lists icon.
- In the Sender List page, you will see the blocked sender list. Enter an email address or domain into the field and click Add. If entering a domain, use the format @domainname.com ordomainnname.com.
To block a sender for an entire organization:
- Go to Orgs and Users > Orgs.
- Click the organization name in the organization list, or choose the organization from the Choose Org pull-down list.
- In the Organization Management page, scroll down and click the Sender Lists icon.
- In the Sender Lists page, enter an email address or domain into the field and click Add. If entering a domain, use the format @domainname.com or domainnname.com.
